  1. still on for fun around here tomorrow, all bit at 250mrs, so only 5 mins in the car, haha
  2. starting to look good now for North Midlands, last hill snow event gave 10 to 20cms. so fingers crossed for now. Best late snowfall here was approx 6 years ago, April 6th dropped 15cm from 5am to 10am, all gone by 6pm, hahah but fun to see, and get out in
  3. it is well spotted, my Dad said when he was a kid he used to sledge down it from the village, long way back up though
  4. well what a moring, it really developed here, it sbeen mental, heavy snow, blocked roads, still hammering down
  5. im going up to Longcliffe in a bit, thats at 340mtrs, it will snowing there !!!!!!!
  6. oh, its now quite heavy and the surrounding hills are definitely white
  7. ok, sulk over, it is trying dare I say trying to snow, so maybe not all is lost ! yet
  8. its a bust here, so sad, 190 to200mtrs and rain, started as snow at 6.30, but not now. going to have some breakfast, and sulk a bit
  9. i think Snow in Trent may have a snow surprise, evaporative cooling can be a bonus, plus a bit some elevation, but it dose'nt all have to be over 200 mtrs
  10. It better not fail now, Id be crushed. Har dto believe were on cusp of a 5 to 25cm fall tomorrow. In december we had 10 to 12cms here, and on the hill tops 15 to 25cm. A good fall of snow is when the kerbs disappear an dthe snow is level across the road onto the footpaths, heres hoping. Just on the Midlands TV now, 20 to 25 on the hills, get in there, Matlock, Wirksworth, Ashbourne, Bakewell,
  11. I had work visits in the Peaks, at Tideswell, Newhaven and Biggin, all up at 250 to 300mtres, from 10am to 3pm. if its hill snow you want then Derbyshire Peaks is just fab for it. Ive been in Cromford with heavy sleet and yet 15 mins later up in the hills I'm came across a tanker lorry buried in 5 to 10 feet drifts, police signs with roads closed. unreal how much elevation can change conditions, drove back down to Cromford and still sleet !!!
