so relieved all this cold weather is abating.
for a snowy, or snowier than usual winter anyway, i have got off pretty lightly. managed to keep earning in the main.
oh well, as Spring descends on us (YES!!!!), I'll take my leave of you now, and rejoin you in late December again!
adios!
what's all this then?
another 'surprise' snow event eh?
getting old now, all this.
how bad could it get andy?(edit - or good, of course, depending on your perspective. )
did you see this andy? http://www.spaceweather.com/ ''STRATOSPHERIC CLOUD ALERT: On the evening of Jan. 26th, sky watchers in parts of England and the Netherlands witnessed unusually colorful sunsets and prolonged twilights. Atmospheric optics expert Les Cowley believes that "we are experiencing an episode of Polar Stratospheric Clouds (Type 1) as a result of unusually low stratospheric temperatures. I saw them myself." High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for these clouds at sunrise and sunset in the days ahead.''
now you come to mention it, I did see a car with the front smashed in, a black, or very dark blue one, I saw, was that it?(can't remember if it was there I saw it, but i definitely saw that today somewhere)
Insane winds blowing here now. very loud.
was in your part of the world today delivering. roads Ok now, even that really steep one, Graigwen, is it? went to Caerphilly after, and they got hit really bad. still, even now the side roads are treacherous. this snow seems really reluctant to thaw in some places.
i really hope that is not true. that will come close to bankrupting me. 2 months without work, or greatly reduced income anyway, is NOT funny. i don't mind the odd snow, as long as it thaws away, and another event happens a couple of weeks later or something, but CONSTANTLY? no thanks!
statistics, isn't it? all you'll have in your head is '3 million five hundred and sixty four thousand snow flakes, 3 million five hundred and sixty four thousand and one snow flakes.....' and so on
