    Seems to me that the confidence seen in the forecasts yesterday pm for something decent for the SE today has ebbed a little overnight. Forecasts this morning have definitely toned it down a bit.

    My ruler must be broken, have been out to measure snow depth several times and it always reads as zero.

    Agreed, based on latest outputs I am quietly confident that the Southend/Basildon area will be in the snow zone and have shots at snow for a number of days this week it seems. I'm in ashingdon so close enough to the sea I guess to be worried about coastal influence.....(which I'm not!)

    A right dumping here in Ashingdon, much better than I thought when I turned in last night. Must have been some heavy snow - wished I'd stayed up longer to see!

    Steady snow in ashingdon although three likely lads just seen trying to shovel all the snow away. I can categorically deny that the three culprits were in fact WIB, Shedhead and Ian Brown, although two were seen wearing hoodies with Atlantic dominance logo's and one was just wearing a t shirt (hardy soul), which had modern written on the front and winter on the rear.........
