  1. Lavernock Point Vale of Glamorgan is a good site- it was shown on tv not so long back.
  2. I noticed this behaviour and thought it odd- glad its just not me LOL
  3. Arn't disabled people exempt from tolls etc? I know I am. Hubby gave up work to look after me (I have terminal cancer) and recieves ICA of about £48.00 per week for a 24 hour day, 7 day week, 52 week year- generous or what????? and to be quite honest by the time I die he will be too old to stand a cats chance in hell of going back to work so his life is buggered too- Cynical me? no never LOL
  4. Started as sleet at about 10am then rapidly went to snow and it is still snowing and sticking, am amazed as I am on the coast !!
  5. Got about 4" of snow, its on the wet side so I don't think it will last long. All of this turned up since 3am lol trust me to miss it LOL

  7. It stormed here 'Barry' for a good couple of hours on and off, with the heaviest rain I have heard for years.

  9. We had a loud clap of thunder at 07.15 this morning - but that was all apart from the icy sounding downpours since.

  13. Day after tomorrow- great film, but I really don't expect we will get anywhere near that! After careful thought, and yet more media hype, I have decided to keep a decent stock of food in and be sensible, ie not go out if its really bad if I don't have too. These papers etc are frightning the wits out of old people.......which I think is irrisponsible journalism

  17. Had a smallish storm around 4pm, good flashes and rumbles of thunder. The sky still looks stormy so may have more later :huh:

  20. Does anyone remember when we had blizzards in early January 1981 and many cars etc got caught out on the M4 etc, power cuts and food could not get to the shops. Would love to hear how other people were affected in different parts of the country, and what synoptics caused it to happen.
