WOW! I didn't even know it was snowing, until we noticed it on the skylight! We have roughly 2" and it's still snowing heavy here. I'm in South Down, by Carlingford and the Co. Louth border. Just in between the Mournes and the Cooleys. I've included some piccys for your enjoyment PS: jello do you know your pics are featured on bbcnews.com ni?

Nice here at the Down/Louth border in Ireland - I'd estimate about 21C.. cloudless apart from the odd whisp appearing every few hours. Makes a definate change from the past few, horrid days! Matt

Lying snow here already in NI; but its not snowing anymore. The "covering" is mostly green, not white in the surrounding fields.. very dissapointed so far! But it's early in terms of time I guess Matt

Just had a heavy snow shower here in Newry. It's lying now; covering on the cars and fences and grass; not on the rodas yet or anything --- they're still too warm and wet. Snow is still wettish though. Matt

Just had a ice-cold rain shower here in NI. At times the rain turned into sleet, but not a lot of it. Sunny skies now with a lot of huge white clouds in the distance in the North; don't think it''ll lie th ough. Winds are picking up too, getting quite gusty. Matt
