    About 40 minutes ago there was clear skies with stars showing as well, didn't expect this but nothing thundery

    The rain is falling crazily heavy here atm, not had it this heavy in ages

    I still remember that time around May that hit Cornwall a few years ago, cant remember when, but was watching it on the radar and it was at 300 strikes a minute. I think it was one of those storms that didnt even pick up on models and caught a few by surprise. Not sure if anyone else remembers the year it was. Think it was about 2017

    Looks like South West about to get slammed with heavy rain, this year feels like its been more thundery already and were not even at Summer yet

    Not seen any lightning or heard thunder for about 10 minutes now so that could be it. A nice little start for the season though. Confident that this Summer will be a good one

    Lincolnshire at its finest. I can see lightning looking towards Retford way in the distance. If only 30 miles more east lol Deffo feels a bit warmer now and very still

    That's insane!! Just had a mega bright flash of lightning from a cell at Newark! Wouldn't have thought you could see lightning so bright at this daylight from this distance

    About to get a very heavy shower, gone very dark looking North though about a mile or two away from the bright colours
