Good morning from Newhall Weather Station. A cool cloudy morning with just a hint of sunshine. Would not be at all surprised to see some snow in the following few days it just has that sort of feeling to things. Well it looks like the record mean temperature for December has now fallen by the wayside unless we have some more warm days at the end of the month. But it is looking very much like the year is going to give an all time mean average temperature. Can't see it falling below the lowest ever recorded mean for the year somehow. Something very strange is going on with the humidity this month with the % of humidity being very very low. Afternoon all. It has been a long time since my last post. Been rather busy dashing back and forwards to the hospital. I am waiting to go for another Scan on my neck and back it is looking like a few more bits of me are falling off again. Anyway back to the matter in hand. Not a nice day Dull overcast. A really calm pleasant day after what has been thrown at us the last few days. It has been mainly cloudy and sunny for most part of the day. Hardly any wind and for a change no rain. This years chances of claiming the lowest rainfall total at Newhall Weather Station fell by the wayside yesterday. Never mind we always have next year. What a orrible orrible day. Started off dull with the odd light drizzle which has been coming on and off for most of the morning. It is now getting duller darker and greyer by the minuet. Clear skies first thing with a heavy frost. Soon warmed up and melted. Skies starying clear until just after mid day with a few clouds building up but still staying sunny at the moment. A very mixed bag of weather indeed. After a bright almost cloudless sky this morning. It was all change by Midday with heavy dark overcast conditions it was soon follwed by some quite heavy rain. By mid afternoon it had stopped raining and it started to brighten very slightly. Not to bad now with a rather nice looking sunset inbetween the cloud. Oh what a day here in Newhall. Dull grey overcast light showers strong gusty winds seeming much stronger than the 30 m.p.h recorded. So dark that we have had to switch on the lights to see. It is one of those days that you could hop onto the next flight to the tropics just to get away from it all and not a day to write to a friend saying " Having a lovely time wish You where here" All you can say is it is abysmal. As the day as progressed the cloud has grow thinner and thinner until Newhall is now sitting under absolutely clear cloudless conditions. This is just as things looked to be happening throughout lastnight and early this morning with a gradual rise in pressure.
