  1. Can you tell me whereabouts this is btwn Berwick and Alnwick ?
  2. Bring him inside poor little thing. You don,t know how it might develop tonight. Spoil him!
  3. Horizontal snow, wildest it has been all day. Great! Wondering what tonight will bring!Temp in Belford is minus 3.
  4. White-out here in Belford for last 1hr+. And a snow plough just passed my house. Enjoying every minute of this wondrous weather. Amazed at efforts of bin men who turned up early this am - thank you for huge efforts!

  6. Our village school is open! Just watched children being pulled to school on sledges - mini convoy! Smiles all round, how can people not love excitement and drama of snow!
  7. So good to be in the company of other snow lovers! We don,t get much snow in my village. Most people in North Nthbld live along the coast or around Berwick and sea keeps us neutral. Sometimes A1 can have snow lying on its western side and none on eastern side.
  8. I was beginning to think I was the only person from North Northumberland in this forum but I have just found another. Bet I am the only female from up here though. This forum seems to have a predominantly masculine profile , not sure why. Getting very anxious that snow will miss us. Found it difficult to sleep last night in anticipation of snow so very disappointed to wake up to nothing. I am new to this forum and most users seem to be from the southern half of the region. Up here we know that this area is the real north-east, so give us some snow!
  9. So pleased to know there are other (oldies) who love snow and get excited when they hear it mentioned on weather forecast. And the fun of knowing there will be lots of photos and videos of snow to come!
  10. Do most people on here get excited by snow? I find I love it even more as I get older. I am a 70year old female and can be obsessive about snow, checking weather websites regularly if there is a whisper of snow. As a child I used to fantasise about being snowed in and cut off. Never happened. But I love the drama around heavy snowfall. Hope it materialises for North Northumberland soon!
