Deep snow here in Pakefield on the north Suffolk coast. Looks like a bit of a convection event after dark with heavy snow forecast into the evening, overnight and into tomorrow. Already struggling to open the back door!

Similar here in Pakefield. Just beneath the powdery snow there was a little melt going on this afternoon. That has all frozen now and another covering of powder snow has hidden the ice. A lethal combination on the roads. Also drifting here...but currently the streamers aren’t reaching us so the snow has finally stopped...around 10cm on my lawn. Looking at the radar...some of those streamers may clip here in an hour or two and overnight. Local schools mostly closing.

Heavy and getting deeper by the minute here in Pakefield. That area of snow is now pushing a bit further west on the latest net warnings. We are bound to see some drifting here in strong to gale force winds.

Settling and thickening up here in Pakefield in NE Suffolk. Lots of convection here though the heaviest snow is still just off the coast...it appears now to be developing a bit further inland.

Heavy snow again at the most easterly point in Suffolk! We’ve had thunder snow earlier...now a few centimetres laying...with more coming right now! Fun night ahead!
