You are unzipping the dowloaded zip file yes? Not renaming it user.bin

What type of SD card are you using? Think only SDHC will work. SDXC won't work. Also make sure to format the card to FAT32.

That model is older than the ws8686. The ws8686 definitely does dew point

Yes the ecowitt lightning sensor works with Watson ws8686, i have one transmitting to the console

Hi, i can confirm the station does give dew point readings including humidity and feels like readings.

Yes it is the same, the Watson is the UK branded version. It is a clone of Ecowitt. Think Weatherspares sell additional sensors that work with it too such as lightning detector, soil sensor ect. I have the lightning sensor connected to the Watson base unit.
