  1. Over 170,000 without power as Storm Isha sweeps country WWW.RTE.IE A container toppled over in high winds at Dublin Port
  2. It's extremely windy here already and the worst of the winds are not due till 9pm, it's going to be preety bad by the look of things. Just been out securing stuff in the garden and it really does feel like this could be a very interesting and dangerous afternoon/evening across the UK and Ireland, take heed of the warnings
  3. WWW.METEOCIEL.FR Météociel propose le modèle UKMO jusqu'à 168h. Cartes de prévision des précipitations, du vent, des températures
  4. Not true, Met Eireann going for cold out to week 3 before confidence begins to wane
  5. Imo these two distinct clusters show the direction of travel around mid month. Teleconnections coming into play as yourself and a few others have suggested. One to watch
  6. My money would be on No 2 @Mike Poole, been looking like scandi high for a while now imo. We'll see Got to love the drama of the model output yet again. Interesting pub run too coming up. Maybe the Atlantic influence and return of westerlies@Met4Cast alluded to again will be wrong again. I believe the causes/drivers of our weather are not fullly understood yet, especially how they interact with one another and tbh I'm not sure they ever will be, its too complex imo. Stella's baps and maybe snow shoes on @legritter What I would do for a really cold snowy white Christmas Here's to hoping BTW @Met4Castno dig, you're one of the best, very knowledgeable and thank you for sharing your skills on this great platform
  7. Unless you live in Ireland First class weather event, have to look at the bigger picture like AI. NH looks primed for a memorable one I think we are in for a special winter this year, its been some start. Lurking as usual Where is @legritter and me stellas + baps @ . Great to be coming out of nw hibernation. Seasons greetings to you all ✌
  8. My ferry from Roslare to Fishguard was cancelled so booked on the 20.30 from Dublin to Holyhead. Now looking like that will be cancelled too, ferrys cant get into Dublin port and the wind is really picking up now even inland @ Co.Laois ☹
  9. Met Eireann, I thought it was the other way round
  10. I'm travelling on the Rosslare to Fishguard ferry tomorrow @19.30 departure. Do you all think it will sail? Will be a rough crossing for sure, touch and go I'd say
