  1. Only a couple of centimetres of fresh snow in Aberdeen fell overnight. In undisturbed areas we have been consistently sitting at around on average 4-7cm of snow since Monday morning. although not nearly as much snow as quite a few in here, I’m pretty happy overall despite last night under performing. I imagine the snow melt will be off the charts over the next few days for us in the north.
  2. The way these snow showers are hitting Aberdeen feels personal . Skipping left and right while splitting as they approach the coast. Only have achieved a few little flurries.
  3. The snow showers struggling to do much as they approach Aberdeen. Hopefully for some better action later.
  4. This afternoon’s snow took close to good hour to get really get going in Aberdeen. Overall a few hours of steady light to moderate snow with intensity ranging from 3/10 to a peak of 8/10. Averaged about a 5-6/10. This brought about an additional 1-1.5cm probably. Been taking multiple measurements in the same several locations over the past couple days. (Representative of Aberdeen city centre area) yesterday morning the snow depth was 5cm then that was up to 7cm yesterday 3pm, had more snow after that so probably 8cm yesterday evening. Was back to 5.5cm this morning and probably sitting 6-6.5cm currently. heavy snow showers expected in Aberdeen Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
  5. It’s been pretty mental here in Aberdeen. Been frequent heavy snow showers since yesterday evening and measured about 5-6cm at 0900-0930 this morning but easily been a couple centimetres more since.
  6. Here are a couple of my snow watch maps for Sunday-Thursday. Significant snow likely across northern Scotland, even down to sea level over the coming days. Details can be found on the graphics.
  7. Just had some very heavy snow move through. Up to around 3cm ish now. temperature still at -0.6C. More snow to come by the looks of it as well.
  8. Just had a really good half hour or so of snow here about 10 minutes SE of Perth. A good covering of snow now on the ground. Air temperature at -0.7C and more convection incoming could lead to a good evening of snowfall!
  9. Saw this on the Abernethy facebook group today, suspect video was taken between 5-6pm. Funnels over Kinoull/Moncreiffe hill area. Can see the convergence coming together on the radar loop around this time as well.
  10. Been in Florida in summer as well and its not a particular good time of year for outdoor attractions as rides often shut due to thunderstorms.
  11. Warmest day of the year here just to the SE of Perth where temperature has reached 26.0C.
