Model Output Discussion - Spring Has Sprung

Hopefully the Low Pressure crossing the country on Monday/Tuesday will be the last one for a while as pressure builds to the south, and then to the west, which should provide drier weather overall compared to what we have had. -

Looks to be an improvement in the weather in the 8-10 day time frame,at least for Southern and Eastern UK as pressure rises over mainland Europe, hopefully providing less rain and higher temperatures at least for some. -

GFS 12z with an interesting set-up for Northern areas middle of next week as a sharp frontal boundary delivers heavy snowfall, Ensemble mean has the boundary very similar to the op. run. -

So that's 4 ECM Ai runs per day. As if the rollercoaster wasn't bad enough. Also to note the SSW is pretty much underway now. -

12z GEM looking quite blocky, with a succession of troughs dropping down from the North backing further West each time. -

What a bizarre run from the 18z,deep trough comes crashing in from the NW and then decides to have a love-in with the UK which results in a rather nasty storm. Not to be taken literally at this range of course, but one to keep an eye on.
