Beautiful big CG lightning in Bridlington followed a few pleasant deep rumbles of thunder and some moderate rainfall. Now out into the north sea. Plenty of convection going on across the region today .

It feels strange feeling the heat in Bridlington like today as it's normally a cool place. Of course you get strong sunshine no doubting that and you can easily burn . Temperature is irrelevant in this way as the UV can be so strong ! I was used to this type of temperature in London and the longer it lasts the more you acclimatize to it. You can wear shorts for weeks in decent summers but up here less so for sure.

Enjoy it while it lasts. About time we had proper summer warmth even if it's just for a day !

Bridlington basking in 29c for the first time since 2018. At last a taste of proper summer ! Back to the usual cool set up soon enough. We could do with a month of this not just a day. Infact 12 months a year would be better and no worries about heating bills ! Enjoy everybody until the next very warm day(s).

Bridlington always seems so cool after living in London for many years. Today is a classic example of it being 18c on the seafront but come inland about 2 miles and it is 21c today.
