    After Tauktae hit Gujarat last week a new cyclone (Yaas) increasingly likely to form in the Bay of Bengal this time, possibly headed for Odisha/West Bengal/Kolkata area by Wednesday. Interesting flurry of pre-monsoon storms in that part of the world - perhaps there'll be 2 landfalls in India within 10 days.

    Not an Atlantic hurricane but it looks like there's likely to be something stirring in the Arabian Sea over the next few days headed for Gujarat or possibly up to the Indus delta/Karachi area. One to watch.

    Pretty impressive thunderstorm with frequent lightning and deep rolling thunder as well as several spells of fairly large hail just went overhead here on the Wirral. Lots of surface water now. Assume it's headed for Liverpool.

    It does look like it will wax and wane in situ, not making westward progression but moving west on its eastern flank. Frustrating given where it could potentially end up if it was moving across! Not seeing many reports regarding what conditions are like underneath it?

    Spitting a bit here in Bristol, the sky doesn't have that promising orangey hue either
