Wonderful surprise in Mourne

Genuine Question. Why are we anticipating it to be upgrades? I know it’s been the direction of travel thus far, but surely it could as easily go the other direction.

We've had around 4 to 7 cms of snow. Large amount of drifting with a couple drifts 20 to 30 cms, where all the snow has blown off the driveway and funneled in corners. Little to no thaw away from branches. Negative 3 tonight, with fog. Looks like somewhere in Russia. Can the met office give more than a yellow warning for ice? Cause I think it would be warranted tonight.
