  1. Any thoughts on this summer's weather in India and Sri Lanka? I'm there in late July... predictions have veered from drought to a strong monsoon but I'm not sure which is the latest?
  2. It's the sea - always keeps us just above freezing and with rain, not snow . Hardly any frosts either, which technically makes us semi-tropical (it really isn't). In summer we get sea mists while everyone else has 30 degree heat. Remind me why I live here? Last proper snow was 2018, though we had a dusting last year. Last snow in November was so long ago I've forgotten!
  3. Heavy snow in Cornwall - proper fat flakes, Shame the ground isn't even frozen but great to see it regardless. If we can do it, the rest of you can - we didn't have anything in the 2010 winter.
  4. Just looking at the Netweather forecast for the next couple of weeks here. Grey, occasionally damp dross. I'd settle for a decent frost, let alone some snow.
  5. Living in Cornwall and model watching in winter always reminds me of the quote from Clockwise - "It's not the despair Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand."
  6. Given how dry it has been, I'm afraid I think we are in for a warm, damp summer. Just hoping they open up foreign travel so I can escape it
  7. Painful, isn't it? Normally the south west has more precipitation than anyone needs. Now that it's properly cold? Nothing.
  8. Chuff all for Cornwall, as per usual. The cold here seems to be forecast to last about 3 days max also (Sunday to Tuesday). If anyone can cheer me up, please feel free.
  9. Snow's back on for Monday in Cornwall - well, Netweather and the BBC say so. The MetOffice is a spoilsport and says cold rain, which is probably more likely. Back to dreaming of 2018, I suppose.
