Can't think of worse time in history to be a meteorologist when it seems it's been an age since they've provided a forecast that gets the smiles back on faces. It's like the weather is broken! However, even though its cloudy without a chance of meatballs, it's dry and I bloody hope we can go at least a week without rain!

Took me a while to get over the 1 blue sky sunny day we had down here last week! Sadly it's full Kate Bush down here now, Cloudbusting! That also seems to be the form horse for the next week. My transition to Charlie Brown should be complete by the end of next week should this turgid weather continues.

Shocking announcement to make, but the sun actually made an appearance this morning before being swallowed up by a load of boring clouds!

Another glorious day of cloud, wind and rain..... Which has been my copy and paste of late to my friends and family around the world for the last 6 months. Utterly depressing and hopeless. I need that gif of Bill Murray in Groundhog Day "It's raining....Again" If the water companies fixed the pipes, they could give the water away given how much we've accumulated!

Another crap weekend of weather. Beyond tedious and boring now.

Went to a lovely wedding at the Hare Krishna in Watford this weekend which sadly was a washout outside. Didn't take away from what was a magical day. That said, more facking rain down here in the South East and all I can say now is that my interest in spring and summer this year is gone. The abhorrent autumn and winter has killed my enthusiasm for the weather for the rest of 2024. It's like Winter 23/24 didn't get the invite to show up! It's truly depressing.

Amazingly it is dry down here and a light brighter. Sun still being kept behind clouds, but this is a much needed relief and break from the absolute garbage we have had recently.

A jolly weekend of grey skies and yes you guessed it....more effin rain! I can't remember a time when I have been so fed up with the weather. Irony of today is that any clear skies will occur once the night sky moves in. Couldn't make it up.

Ooooh what's that outside my window?? More chuffing rain! Seriously someone invent those satellites like in that film Geostorm so we can turn off that poxy atlantic guff.

More gloom and rain this morning. Weather like Westminster yesterday, an utter shambles!

Summer8906 ah your reply to mine about it being 8 months of abysmal weather rather than 5. I put a bit of extra stock in that week in September that was unusually warm.

And just what the doctor didn't order, more chuffing rain. I imagine the UK resembles something like a wet sponge right now. Truly abysmal last 5 months of weather.

One of the biggest raspberries of a winter I can remember. Aside from the 2 week dry spell in January, it's just been dismal. Missing out on that snow event where it tracked further south across the channel and into Belgium was a gut puncher. This winter has been backloaded alright. Backloaded with a ton of crap mild and wet weather. Don't think I'll be getting excited anytime soon in an El Nino winter. Just feels like it's be one long rotten autumn. A blue sky wouldn't be too much to ask for. I know it's not linked, but when the announcement came out about the UK going into a recession after our noble PM only a day earlier stated that the economy is on the road to recovery almost makes me draw parallels with something nice on the horizon weather wise not to materialise a day or 2 later. It wouldn't be an understatement to say it sucks being in Britain right now.

Daffs are coming through already. This winter truly ending an a crud note. Stupid CC!

Had rain falling now for 16 hours straight. Fack off already. Shades of 2013/14 it feels like. Grim out there today. My dogs are looking at me as if to say "a bit cr@p out there today don't you think?"

*Stormforce~beka* Oh that was years ago. Feb 2019. It was one of those 2 day events here today gone tomorrow.

I had a bit of nostalgia yesterday as on my FB feed came up a memory of a snow back in 2019 on the 1st Feb. Feels like a long time ago! Dry week so far. Few foggy and misty days which have been nice. Still holding hope something white and wintry might show up.

Sunny day down here after another battering of wind and rain. Wipes out the memory of the recent cold spell. Reckon my garden will spaz out if the temps keep climbing. Urghhh.

Low as -4oc last night. Shall enjoy it today as it looks like after tomorrow, the temps pick up. It's a glorious sunny day today without a whiff of clouds. I know most coldies like cold and snow, but it's not a total bust if we just get cold and not the snow. I've enjoyed it. Dry days. Makes walking my dogs (both white!) easier and less of a chore having to clean them down when it pi$$es down all the time. Plus winter isn't over with yet. So no need to panic about the lack of snow.

Got down to -4oc early hours this morning. Seeing some Belgian folk my missus knows posting pictures of the snow they got originally meant for us gits! Sunny and crisp start to the day. Lovely stuff.

Was on a call with colleagues yesterday who reside near Merseyside and they got some snow the lucky buggers! However, they are enjoying it which is what matters. Plus they had sympathy for me in the South who missed out this time round. Feelings of Feb 2021 all over again
