  1. SunSean 15 hours This April is a bit like 2014. Warm but dull. I remember there being no sunshine at all for the first 7 days
  2. Summer8906 After February just gone, I would take a February like 2006 or 2013 anyday, Even if i have to tolerate 2c, overcast and breezy dross Wasnt May 2019 spartan too?? February had that freak 20c warm spell and many other springlike days earlier on, then March was mostly mild and sunny, though the first half was wet, then April was cool in the first half (Except a warm and humid spell on the 6th-8th), then had a hot and sunny Easter Weekend, and a warm and changeable end
  3. Summer8906 Didnt 2020 have a flowerless May too??? Janaury and February were very, very mild and wet. March was average, but April was one of the warmest and sunniest on record., then May 2020 was self-explanatory. If we do get a spartan May, im hoping for Easterlies the whole month, which made late-May/early-June 2023 look gorgeous nature-wise despite flowering being over Imagine how much trouble April and May would be in if we had an anti-2013 spring, particularly being both very warm and somewhat wet .Feb 2013 flipped over would be a lesser-version of Feb 2019 (Feb 2013 was 2.5c below average and had a lot of North Sea cloud) .March 2013 flipped over would be a less-dry version March 2012, but still very warm and very sunny .April 2013 flipped over would be something akin to this April, or 2014
  4. Summer8906 Not sure about 2018. That only had 21 hours until the 13th, and Im currently at 17 hours and the next 3 days could contibute a few (particularly tommorow). Either way, still very poor but didnt really feel as dire as 2018 so far
  5. B87 Maybe slightly below average, with most days probably seeing Northerly and Easterly winds (Not unlike early-June 2023, but perhaps less North Sea cloud). June 1991 was the 8th dullest on record, and a June equivalent of April 2021 would mean the sunniest June on record, and possibly even the sunniest individual month on record
  6. Summer8906 First half of Summer 2015 and Second half of Summer 2020 would also be a good summer, with only the second half of August being poor. Otherwise, you can switch their halves and it will create a dire summer It would be interesting have late-March/April 2021 synoptics in late-May/June however, and I would love that. 33c heat spike on the BH weekend, then perhaps the best early-summer month in history (Cool nights, Average days, Bone dry and Very sunny)
  7. We havent had any large diurnal ranges lately. Perhaps we will get our respite in second half of April and May, or September (Which often feels spring-like, with some big diurnal ranges)
  8. SunSean Even with April 2023s sunshine (Which was still not great), It would mean a 3rd duller than average month in a row
  9. Summer8906 Tomorrow is probably going to be those "failed" terrible days from March (4th, 19th and 26th). Forecasted persistant rain from noon onwards, but the reality is sunny spells until evening followed by light rain. Tuesday and Wednesday looks terrible though
  10. Summer8906 Im thinking this will be an April version of May 2023. Very wet and dull first third, then dry and mostly sunny last two thirds. Im anticipating the second half of April being quite Easterly
  11. Summer8906 Easterlies bring us our very best or very worst conditions, so its no surprise for it to bring lots of North Sea cloud
  12. Summer8906 April 2018 had a full week without any sunshine whatsoever from the 7th-13th, and it was often wet and temperatures just stayed around 8c the whole time. Worst April week I ever experienced. The last 4 days were horrible too
  13. LetItSnow! I fancy an Easterly bringing frosty nights and mild, sunny days. Hoping for a lengthy spell of that around the 20th onwards I can see a warm spell on the cards next weekend. Hoping dry and sunny too
  14. Saturday looks like a day Easterlies would normally give us at this time of year. Warm, Bright and Windy
  15. Anybody notice that July 2020 was July 2015 in reverse
