  1. Might take a while to get the corrected figures but this is quoted in the met winter stats- "Looking at the Central England Temperature (CET), the longest temperature record in the world, this winter's figure of 7.0C currently makes it the warmest in the series (back to 1659), beating the previous record of 6.8C in 1868-69." http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/releases/2016/winter-stats
  2. Appreciate the time taken Steve- Nice one.
  3. C'mon. you can make it easier that .... Don't spoil it with a load of
  4. Farming from a 17c property we 'used' to have a darn good indicator of cold, the water here is pumped from a well but the supply is only 6inch underground. Wake up to no water and you new it was cold, it also meant a darn hard day ahead, can't remember the last time it happened. In fact my eldest is now 10 and hasn't known a day like it..... This 'modern' cold is just not the proper stuff........
  5. nkaol2001 = Just looks like a wind up post, not worth the keyboard time to reply...
  6. You just can't ignore a months data.
  7. Off topic so mods delete- But Hi to Paul B, just to say your model posts were great and I learnt a hell of a lot from them. Cheers.
  8. Amazing plant, the 'stems' are hardy to around -6 without protection, the more stems in the clump the more hardier they become, I've given up protecting mine now, the leaves always get toasted but they collapse around the clump and increase the winter hardiness. It's a shame about those winds, fw.
