  1. -6 here. Just let the dogs out into the garden. Feels bitterly. Wonderful for January after previous years.
  2. Thank you. Best to just keep an eye of the radar to see if anything pops up.
  3. Afternoon guys. Any chance of some more Cheshire gap streamers overnight? Nice surprise last night to see some snow falling.
  4. Guys so many dedicated posters in here. Thank you for all of your input from someone who is passionate about the weather but just reads many posts with interest. You all deserve a snowy winter. Been on this forum for nearly 20 years and this is one of busiests periods I’ve ever seen. Wonderful stuff.
  5. First of all this summer has been absolute mess. I feel sorry for the posters that keep looking for respite. The experience posters need to give them some freedom to express their feelings. I’ve seen posts about that it’s great we’re getting extra rainfall. Yes it is. I’ve seen posts that the weather has played impact into peoples holidays and events. This summer has been poor. The jet stream has directed everything at us. I believe the weather has a way of balancing things out. Last year was the hottest on record. We move forward from this summer and as always look for signs with the models.
  6. Really heavy snowfall in Telford this morning. Totally covered again. The radar looks good for continuous snowfall for a few hours yet. Also no rain later to wash it away.
  7. Heaviest snow of the day here now. Pathways covered, roads partially. The stuff over Wales looks interesting.
  8. Starting to get heavier now and settling a lot easier on the cars and grass. Let’s see what the rest of the evening brings.
  9. It’s a free app now. It’s pretty reliable to be honest.
  10. The weather has certainly changed now. Dawlish, Devon. So dark looking out over the sea.
  11. Really dislike these kind of setups. The picture is so messy. Let’s get some proper heat/plume then things will get interesting.
  12. Melting because ground temps are not cold enough. Wind chill is fine but unless you have precipitation that’s heavy and prolonged it’s pointless at the moment.
  13. This is absolutely brilliant. It’s been years since it’s been this good. Wow
  14. Honestly the intensity of the lightning now is nothing like being in this country. Proper electrical storm
  15. Let’s hope so. When you have such a hot sultry day and you’re left clinging on to a few strikes around you it makes you think what do you actually need for decent storm around here.
  16. The air outside is so ridiculously humid I just don’t understand why things are not exploding.
  17. Nothing worse than getting a notification off the Met Office saying your Thunderstorm warning has been cancelled.
  18. You just don’t get the storms like we used to in this country anymore. I remember as a kid in the 90s early 00s you would get storms that lasted all night and I would still hear them rumbling away as I went to school in the morning.
  19. Really surprised how quickly the sky has cleared after the small storm we had this morning. It’s all about radar watching now. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another storm later.
  20. We have lift off. Lightning detected just north of Oswestry. I wonder if we’ll see some surprises today .
