  1. Light snow shower on top of Hoylandswaine hill nr Penistone, Barnsley at 5.30pm
  2. I have never seen a pony up there, was it a wild one so to speak, seen lots of sheepies up at Horseshoe Pass though, had one try and get in the car on Friday I'm not crazy, my reality is just different than yours. Went up Carnedd Llywelyn and Dafydd recently and there were wild ponies at 3000ft asl
  3. Thanks, hopefully we'll get out over the next few weeks a bit more and take some more pictures.
  4. A few pictures from my walk with the wife today, Blencathra Centre/Blease Fell/Hallsfell Top/Scales fell, V Warm.
  5. Went out for a bit of fresh air today between Buxton & Macclesfield to avoid the thronging masses in the Dark Peak (Castleton/Edale) had a very pleasant walk in and around the Goyt valley then up onto Cats Tor (519m) and Shining Tor (559m), miles of empty trails and great views over to Shutlingsloe, marvelous!
  6. mmmmmm I'm in the Pennines! Already had half a dozen snow events this winter, but still looking forward to this set up.
  7. Great pictures, fantastic snowscapes - a really good place to go walking, had some great times in the 3 peaks area.
  8. Here's another picture illustrating the value of elevation
  9. For me even though I wasn't too happy at the time it would be the localised snow of the 17th of April around the west of Barnsley/Sheffield/Huddersfield - we had about 3 inches.
  10. Brilliant pictures, Blake Fell is 573m (1878ft)asl - reminds me of a great week i once spent in a cottage in the village of Lamplugh!
  11. Will they all end up in Rampton Hospital near Retford? After all it caters for people with personality disorders and mental health issues you know.
  12. Being high up isn't always great for snow, but it helps most of the time - slept through most of this event and woke up at about 2pm to very little snow, the hill in the picture is Pike Low and thats 478m asl.
