    Very poor forecasting from the outlets today with Carol Kirkwood as late as 8.45am talking about rain affecting southern coastal counties and maps showing the rain clearing about 1pm. Also repeated talk of thunder. Well the latter hasn't materialised but the heavy downpours I see have extended as far north as central Suffolk and it's still raining. If you can't update your forecasts that late in the day then don't bother.
