    snowing here at the moment. fairly heavy for 1 1/2 hrs. just donw an outdoor break duty at my school. anyone want to be a teacher??!!

    12 hours of modarate sleet and wet snow in newcastle sunday . snow this morning (monday)

    a few flakes started here this morning lots more cloud cover than last night. come on wind a few more degrees round to the north!!!

    a nice suprise here in sunderland we have just had our first shower of the day, hail and sleet. forcast said it would turn a lot warmer than it has. also very gusty at the moment.

    just one flash and a wee bit thunder today around 5 pm lots of heavy rain and strong winds

    spectacular big storm over newcastle at about 7:30 not much rain but very dark with strong winds plenty of good forks comming down all around best of the year to date

    lots of heavy showers today in newcastle, still ongoing. only heard one rumble of thunder though.

    had the lot so far. thunder, lightning, hail, very gusty winds and torential rain . still ongoing but seems to be quietening down a little. sitting in the conservatory the noise was just fantastic!! managed to calm the baby down.

    flash floods in newcastle with a rumble of thunder and some large hail. even thought we could see a bit of a funnel cloud starting up. any reports of a smal tornado around 4:30 pm?

    thunder and lightning since about 4 am in newcastle . best of all a huge explosion has just erupted outside my classroom and the pupils went nuts!! a nearby strike me thinks!!

    still got 4" of snow in my garden as of this morning 2/3/04 and 3 snowmen!

    about 2 inches here in newcastle and the wind is increasing. still snowing modetately occasionally heavy. hope its on for the night. looking foward to the 6:30 jaunt to work in sunderland in the morning :lol:

    just got back from spending 3 nights in a tent in the cairn gorms not too much snow around but very cold ( wind chill -25) fantastic climbing weather with some good ice! i even had to use my crampons on the ski runs in order to stay upright. sharpen those edges!! anyway just to report that central newcastle has a covering of snow looking good for next week :roll:

    a small snow shower just drifted by. extreemly gusty wind at times. radar looking good

    a great day was had driving around the minor roads in my mates 4x4 here in the northeast. several blizzards with much drifting .anyway still the odd snow shower here in newcastle with strong winds and a temp of -2 just wish the wind would tilt a little more to the east and we should catch some of those storms brewing just out to sea. frustrating as i am watching the clours rush down the coast :x :x :roll:

    heavy sleet/wet snow in newcastle this morning . roads like a skid pan! got to work in sunderland to find blue sky and a light frost. :roll:

    started snowing in newcastle at about 5:30 lasted for an hour and turned back to sleet. i can still make a slush ball! here's hopping it turns back to snow before long. i've got a 1/2 day at work tomorrow so i'm sledging on the hills around hexam with my little boy (age 1). ayone in that area got any reports?
