  1. I hate those clouds, for the reason that they tend to develope as if by magic when I'm many miles from home when I'm out on the bike. Last set I saw like them threw a lightning bolt that landed in the field next to me. The steam and fire that shot up was something else - they s :shok:t me up a bit. Got a right bad pain in my left half of me too, like i'd been smacked. Good capture all the same. They don't half look mean. I hope i don't see any soon.
  2. I've never really been storm chasing [ I would like to] , but I can say a few storms have chased me on trips out. in 2005 I went for a run to the seaside from doncaster to bridlington on my motorbike. I knew it was goin to be a bit thundery south of donny but no one said anything about a storm starting near scarborough. I had enough time to plod around country lanes upto the sea front, get some rock, admire a Harley Davidson and the Indian Chief next to it even more so and go. With a top speed of 65 mph, or 70 on the flat I couldn't out run it, just watch it creeping up on me. The next thing my handlebars feel fuzzy like static from a balloon and lightning struck a field just next to me. I've had this dream more than enough times over the years since it happened. Its odd to wake up feeling like I'm wearing a wet jacket and clothes and find I'm in bed dry. I've had similar dreams about when I went to manchester on my other bike, and racing the rain clouds home, riding in snow, in october on the A57 on snake pass on the way back. it was so peaceful, me and 2 other bikes, no cars, no lorries, or stray sheep. I call it sunny snow. Since it was a bit sunny still, nice and warm. I don't know how you'd explain it in weather terms. Not that it matters.
  3. Hi. Is there another place I can view this footage? Its not imac friendly at all
  4. That video is epic. How come your jeep didn't turn over or at least wobble? Must be all the gear inside. Yeah the sound of the wind at 100 mph is something else. I've been on a motorbike and the edges of your vision try to get a bit blurred etc. I think you might have been safer in the car instead of the building " wheres that house gone?" Was funny when u said "not goin to believe this" and someone said "u goin to get out?" Lol. Whats the damage to the cars then? New side panels from hail? Must be costly hobby. I thought repairing old motorbikes were expensive enough..
  5. Aww. How many days u all got left there?
  6. its all well and good storm chasing, but I hope you have footage of it!
  7. 300 miles? Wow. I can't imagine going that far on my little bike. There must be some damn vast distances to travel out there. I want to go.
  8. If you had a bike licence you could have hired a Harley or something for a few days....
  9. Maybe they are trying to scare it away. Did you watch inside a lightning bolt?
  10. A rumble and the odd flash here in doncaster. Its going north/east, mainly east by the looks of things. This is sort of good cos I have motorbike lessons in an hour. I hope it comes back tonight tho like it says it might.
