Snow shower cloud/sunset

Was this the band supposedly heading to France? Seems further north. Won’t make it here but may clip the south coast as it hits the easterly winds?? But I don’t follow the models so not sure

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. So I will say hello from Dunstable (on the edge of the chilterns. I also work in Tring which could be fun to get to if we do get a good dumping

Think we won’t see as much action over the chilterns this time. Usually a good spot for the snow but unsure they will be heavy enough to make it until later in the week

Seems interesting to me. I agree with teits about this rain/snow band on the radar merging together. I assume that the most eastern band will be dragged in more of a southerly direction. Also I seem to notice this may produce just as heavy snow as last weekend all be it not as wide area but looks as though quite a fair amount of the SE will see this affect them. I'm unsure of the conditions are right for snow but from the reports it seem on the good side of marginal. One last thing. It looks great for me in Luton unless I'm reading everything wrong!

Just been looking at this site as it gives data for my area plus backs it up with gfs (i think) imagery. http://wxweb.meteostar.com/sample/sample_C.shtml?text=EGGW Interestingly at t150 there seems to be a channel low developing. http://wxweb.meteostar.com/leads_images/Models/GFS/ERP/CP/large/surface/2010021118_ERP_GFS_SFC_SLP_THK_PRECIP_WINDS_150.gif before that though, things maybe marginal for Tuesday onwards but there is the suggestion of a continual line of showers coming off the Atlantic hitting the south and south east. I there is not too much warm air dragged round this low, im sure there will be quite a large amount of snow....

ohhh i hadn't seen this and its heading for Luton, but will it be rain or snow i wonder...........

Same here, heart fm said some sleet / snow but by the looks of the radar its coming for us.....
