  10. The Daily Express and Daily Mail both lead on a big freeze heading our way within the next fortnight... the chap who is predicting this is the same one that predicted snowfall in October...so not sure his forecasts are that reliable but does anyone here think there could be some truth in this? Thanks.

  16. We had a heavy but brief snow shower in Milton Keynes at about 10am, which settled but melted quickly. Then a very heavy hail shower at about 11am, which turned to very heavy snow for about 15/20 minutes, which settled then as soon as it started, stopped again and it's now blue sky and the snow/hail is melting again. The second shower was very heavy and you couldn't see the building over the other side of the car park!

  21. I have just had the journey from hell. I live in Dunstable, I had to travel to Slip End to collect a couple of colleagues, then to another part of Dunstable to collect another colleague, I left home at 7:15am. The hill to slip end was a treacherous then, I had to ask the Dunstable friend to walk to meet me as I was not going to get near her house. An hour and 40 minutes later I arrived in MK, all roads treacherous, even the A5. Snowing continuously, brakes not very effective. Just don't go out, it's the worst driving conditions I've ever known, no point going home, as the A5 is at a standstill southbound.
  22. A work colleague has sent me a photo from her house in Brackley, with a ruler.. the snow is up to 8 inches!!! WOW! It's stopped snowing here now!

  24. Although, would be grateful if it could wait until after 10pm tonight, I need to come to St Albans tonight and it's something I can't miss!!!!! I know - can't please everyone!!!!!
