  1. that shower that passed over was the longest spell of heavy snow so far this week. No signs of a let up in convection yet
  2. Good 15 min heavy shower and road white over again. BBC website changed to heavy snow showers all today tonight and most of tomorrow - decent chance if a steamer hits
  3. Those two areas seem to straddle teesside. Most snow has melted now and although cold a nice day in the sun. If one of these streamers fits could get a few inches but looks twenty miles north and south of us
  4. The lad already had a sledge , my 3 year old girl’s one came prime on sat - don’t think she’ll need it bless her
  5. One this to say - sometimes there’s joy in the chase - here we all are - for many of us the model watching , radar watching and forum watching is a big chunk of the fun. Even if we miss out I’d rather this than last winter - virtually never logging in
  6. Interesting that a few day ago was down for heavy showers Monday , yesterday it changed to very few light one - noW look - somethings afoot
  7. I think the short term is pretty good , medium to long has been poor since they ditched the meto and Go from ecm only. When that’s against the other models they chicken up
  8. I’ve been on here for fifteen years and have learned a few lessons. Most of the time when people on the mod thread say day after tomorrow and beeb say wintry showers the beeb turn out to be right. There are others like ‘the Atlantic won’t push through like that ‘ but it usually does. I’m not at all surprised so far and clearly the best is yet to come. I’m just saying that the bbc suggested rain until after midnight and it was , then very light squally showers which they have been. I think I maybe expected too much early on and they were right. Could be very interesting later and overnight though
