  1. Some really ferocious gusts here at the moment - the windows are actually vibrating which I haven't seen before.
  2. Another dusting of snow here this morning - nothing like you guys are seeing up north but I'll take it!
  3. Can see the snow showers drifting down the Irish Sea here - hopefully we can clip the edge of a few of them like we did overnight!
  4. Got a dusting of snow on the ground here this morning! Settling much more readily than it did yesterday
  5. Snowing away here in Bangor this morning but not lying - must be a good covering further inland!
  6. We have a Met Office warning for snow and ice ! UK weather warnings - Met Office WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK
  7. Definitely turning more to snow here now - not quite there yet but not far off!
  8. Temperature slowly dropping here now - more white flakes appearing in the sleet too!
  9. Just incredible weather here - I've just recorded my hottest temp ever here at 29.2 degrees.
  10. Astonishing weather today - just incredible. I am about half a mile from the sea here in Bangor and recorded my highest temperature ever today at 28.6C - so unusual for this location. The sea breeze kicked in at 3.30pm and sent the temp right back to 21 degrees by 4.30pm. Amazing to think that the highest temperature ever recorded here was just a few miles away!
  11. Great pics @The Weather Watcher - I know Cairn Wood well! We didn't risk venturing out in the car - still plenty of snow for sledging in the park and building snowmen at home ! Great day
  12. Snowflakes just starting to appear here in the air now blowing about in the wind Temp/dew: 1.3/-2.3
  13. I know! That's why I was so surprised with the rain forecast for Saturday and no mention of the snow possibility !
  14. That is at complete odds with their forecast text for NI for the weekend! It doesn't even mention hill snow :
  15. Yeah it's definitely been rubbish for us model watchers as there has been so much promise (much more than a normal winter) but very little delivery! For folk who don't study the weather models, it's probably been a fairly standard winter ! On the plus side, this week has been great for getting out of the house for walks - last week was dire with all that rain.
  16. Sorry to be the bringer of bad tidings but if you are a snow fan like me - don't make my mistake of reading the UK Met Office Northern Ireland outlook for Friday - Sunday
  17. So it begins .... first weather warning out for the eastern half of Norn Iron on Monday: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings#?date=2021-02-08&id=ce81df33-8c42-42f3-bb88-880fd65ad316
  18. We have a covering of snow here this morning right on the coast! Lovely surprise to wake up to
