its 3.45am.........lots of rumbles going on outside but no lightning as of yet

lots of heavy showers all day, and guess what.......its still raining , only more persistant and heavy now lol

good morning all :lol: .........after a very wet day yesterday, and a very wet night.....guess what.......its still raining :ph34r: quite cool and breezy, heard a few rumbles in the dastance

we had a loth of big thunder today, not much lightning, but a lot of rain too, all settled down by tea time

some thunder, lightning and very heavy rain going on right now here nr yeovil its 2am

after a wet night, this morning is damp, and cloudy

had some loud thunder, pouring rain with fork and sheet lightining , started about 10.50pm lasted about an hour

had some really good weather , today again a warm sunny day, temp 23.

its been wet wet wet all afternoon, breezy, not too cold.

wheres the snow??????? all we re having is rain! its slightly milder than last night.

a bit late i know, had some cracking thunder and lightning on sat eve and again late sat night, it also knocked out power for a min or so, very loud thunder, very bright lightning, i wasnt expecting that! had lots of heavy hail with it. i look forward to seeing some snow.

good luck with your house move, we are also moving house in january, 27th, from cornwall to dorset. i know it will be cold we might even be lucky enough for snow. but what ever the weather, lets hope it doesnt rain for us both merry christmas

extremely wild here in falmouth too with rain, no storms i can hear things blowing about in peoples gardens

Its blowing a gale now, no rain as yet, but im sure its not far behind. i expect there will be some damage and fallen small trees/branches by morning some where.

today..... sunny with showers, quite breezy and mild. last night i saw some quick flashes in the clouds, no rain or thunder and they werent very bright, just a few flashes. it didnt last long

its very wet and very windy again.

had thunder, lightning and torrential rain at 1.30 am, lasted a while, i thought the rain was going to smash windows it was so heavy battering the house, think there was some hail mixed in. i fell asleep by 3.30am it was still going on then

we are having very strong gusts of wind here in falmouth at the moment, its also just starting to rain again .

after a cloudy but quite a calm day, we now have heavy rain, and very strong winds, not too cold though

yes i remember the winter of 1978-79 well, i must have been about 10yrs old , i lived in dorset at the time. my dad opened the front door and loads of snow fell in. we didnt have radiators then, it was so cold the old metal framed windows had thick ice round the frames. loads of us got old trays and slid down the hill on them, great fun! i remember the snow being very very deep in places.

I remember one time in Feb about 2 or 3 yrs ago in Poole, Dorset, I was cutting my sons hair in the kitchen, it was early evening , It was snowing, but suddenly it became like blizzard conditions for about 20 mins - 1/2 hour, I saw some flashing, I thought it cant be lightning, I went out the back to look, and it was thundering and lightning, the snow was coming down so fast I couldnt see in the garden, Ive never experienced it before. when speaking to someone about it they said it happens all the time in scotland.

after last nights storms it had quietened down, but the wind is picking up again with rain, cool.
