  1. Rain/ sleet now turning to snow in Chelmsford. As the low moves away and drags in Easterlies I think more of us will see this transition. Local temp 2.3C
  2. Heavy downpour here in Chelmsford. About 45 mins of heavy- very heavy rain with thunder/ lightning. Very local looking at the radar. Starting to ease
  3. 16cm of Snow. Chelmsford Essex. Looking out for streamers today for a top up. ECM 0Z looking good. All models keeping the cold until next weekend.
  4. 15cm in (central) Chelmsford, Essex @ 8:00. It has been snowing over night but the main difference is the dry powdery consistency which has been drifting in the wind.
  5. 10cm @ 17:45 in Chelmsford, Essex. The streamer keeps coming!!
  6. Also, the position of the 528DAM suggests that the southern part of the UK may experience rain/ sleet only. Can anyone varify this?
  7. Absolutely fascinating- never seen anything like it! Thanks for that
  8. Compared with Feb 09, this doesnt look much, i agree but as a recent snow event, this is pretty good- especially before Christmas (which is fairly rare). 6 cm of snow in central Chelmsford. Schools closed. A12 closed due to accidents. Trains running into London
  9. Take a look at this for the end of the week in the SE http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=snow;sess= 16cm for the london area again! snow_depth_06.02.09.doc
  10. 11cm here in Chelmsford & still snowing heavily. This is going to continue all day, with heavier stuff from France this afternoon.
  11. 10cm Chelmsford. Continuous snow throughout the night. Will be getting heavier this morning with the same to come before warming up tonight If the 0Z GFS happens at the end of this week, this event will look like a joke compared with what may be on the horizon
  12. About 2.5 cm in Chelmsford Essex. Radar continuing to look impressive & still the bulk of the snow to hit tomorrow mid day. How long this will remain as snow is impossible to say. Massive improvement with the 18Z GFS for the rest of the week.
  13. Hi Nothing yet in Essex (Chelmsford) Am keeping a close eye on current developments. I think that your storm should drift slowly north towards E.Anglia. GFS indicates some interesting developments sunday night/ monday morning however this may pass too far east. Tim I can hear them now 07:00 almost a constant rumble in the distance Tim
