    Typical that storm is further west from Cardiff - so we're missing out here. Some torrential rain this morning down in the Bay, still raining pretty hard. Feeling mild and muggy.

    It was awful here an hour and half ago! I've never seen a thunderstorm like it here in NW Wales! Hail, wind and very close lightning and thunder!

    Had possibly the worst storm I've ever seen about an hour ago! Close lightning and thunder. With heavy hail here in North West Wales!

    I thought the wind was getting stronger 67mph in Capel Curig which is about 13 miles from here.

    A local weather station (Mynydd Llandygai, N W Wales) is reporting 58mm of rain in the last 24h - no wonder there's flooding around.

    No not at all, Facebook is going wild at the moment! I really haven't seen it like this. I live about 200m above sea level where wind is common even on a calm day but this is just something else. I'll try and record a clip for you!

    I've never seen winds like this! I can totally believe the wind gust for both Aberdaron and Capel Curig! It feels like the roof of my house is ready to rip off any minute! Reports of road closures around the Arfon area and police escorting people around! Stay safe everyone!

    It was the same here until 6 when winds started to pick up! Some severe gusts in there, will be surprised if the electricity stayed on! Plenty of bins and so on flying around the place!

    Can confirm the same here in Deiniolen - light flickering and the wind is strong. On days like this I wish I had my weather station!
