  1. The island media have been called to an emergency conference in the capital by the authorities for 7pm.
  2. Yes, there has been a dramatic decrease in the tremor frequencies. It seems to have happened after a large earthquake. Apparently the tremor is clogged as magma has no where left to flow. Possibly an eruption is imminent. http://www.01.ign.es/ign/head/volcaSenalesDiasAnterioresHora.do?nombreFichero=CHIE_2011-10-12_14-15&estacion=CHIE&Anio=2011&Mes=10&Dia=12&tipo=2&hora=14-15
  3. We are probably on the highest point of the south chilterns hills in Woodcote. It has been snowing since early morning and covering all surfaces including roads. We had to meet our accountants in Weybridge for 10 and had the transition from our snow to rain in Weybridge, passing thru sleet in Reading. On the journey back it was rain, sleet, back to our snow and its still snowing with at least 5 cms lying. I thought I would report in as there don't seem to be many peeps from this neck of the woods and we are right underneath the stalled front.
  4. It must be hell being covered in itchy red lumps so I will let you into my little secret....Marmite. The mozzies cant stand it. I don't mean you have to smear it all over your body, but on toast every morning it does the trick as I can survive summers without any bites at all. Something to do with the B vitamins. Supposed to work for horses with sweetitch too.
  5. Hi This is my first post and maybe my last as i just like to read but the swallows arrived last week at the yard where we keep our horses just west of Reading. I havent actually seen one yet but I can hear their chattering up in the rafters. I look forward to cleaning their little poops out of the water feeders all summer.
