awoke by Thunder East of me, just seen decent cloud to cloud stuff.

Prolonged torrential downpour and 5 cracks of thunder just gone through Wickersley ( Rotherham) heading for South Doncaster.

Snow here 146m asl in Wickersley nr Rotherham 137 sorry gained a few meters lol

Jesus this rain is unbelievable anyone with S66 2 on netweather radar should see a deluge .... flooding garden and yard !!!!!!!!!!

Most of the rumbles and loud ones at that seem to be between Maltby and Worksop area with excellent cloud structures all around here !!!

Hi all, can anyone explain something i've just experienced please ? Sat under a gazebo on a nice summers morning just a few shallow cumulus in the sky and very little breeze if any. All of a sudden me and my wife are laughing as we are having to hold on to the Gazebo and the washings virtually being tugged off the line. It was all over in the space of 15 seconds max and now we are back to calm sunny conditions. Our nearest data recordings are at Robin Hood airport in Doncaster where currently on Windmapper its showing variable / calm. any explanations please as it was so strange and made us laugh ?

Nothing kicking off here at the mo, infact its getting brighter !

can anyone explain why i have had an hour and half of constant rumbles of thunder and no lightning. Its probably the longest time i've heard continuous thunder and seen no lightning ?

Prolonged heavy rain shower here with a rumble of thunder that scared me as i didn't see a flash and wasn't expecting it.....its now heading towards North Doncaster .

just had a shower here scunny ....quite sharp but not as sharpe as billy .lol

Excellent if Pit is not writing it off yet we will be ok ...... got the radio on medium flavour here and i got the best storm in years even if its only crackle !!!!!
