  1. Drove the A12 from Yarmouth to Lowestoft. Went out about 4pm - nothing - roads clear, came back about 7pm, dual carriageway reduced to single file, tarmac hidden under a layer of wet snow. Right now, in Gorleston (I live right by the beach) it is snowing heavily, but small flakes, drifting a little in the wind. Still very concerned about the suggestion on the met office website that it'll turn to rain about 3am. Any one know the explanation - aside from the obvious proximity to the sea. I mean, is there warmer air behind the snow front, so this is just frontal snow?
  2. Ben Rich on the BBC just suggested could be rain, not snow if you are right on the north sea coast. I am. Is he right?
  3. Just rain and sleet here in Gorleston, right on the coast, now stopped. No covering at all, just miserable and wet :-( Big disappointment
  4. Steady snowfall here on the far east coast. Powdery, but settling pretty quickly. Just like I said it would. Lol.
  5. Like you say, Nothing Happens in Norwich. Ha! Nothing happens in Gorleston either. Nada.
  6. Still nothing here right next to the sea in Gorleston. I'm not expecting much out of this. A half-hearted dusting by morning as the front peters out before we have any fun. Looking miserably on tomorrow morning while everyone 50 miles to the west has a (snow)ball.
