  1. The area of snow that moves in Wales later on Wednesday on the GFS06z has me interested. Could be a few inches from that.
  2. 37.2c smashes the previous Herefordshire record of 35c!
  3. 36.3c in Hereford now. Absolutely baking hot! Temperatures normally peak between 4pm & 5pm here in the summer.
  4. 35.1c here in Hereford. I think areas such as Herefordshire / Worcestershire / Gloucestershire could see temperatures peak at around 37/38c around 5pm.
  5. Some brilliant lightning near Hereford now. Also deep booms of thunder. Pouring down!
  6. Disappointed by the BBC live reporters saying winds not as bad as forecast. The red warning has only just come into affect. This is poor form from them.
  7. Yep, been a problem for a while. Easily seeing gusts of 30-40mph in Hereford now.
  8. Certainly picking up here now. Expecting M4 Severn Crossing to be closed very soon.
  9. Beggars belief when people are calling a few mph a downgrade. If you get hit by an 80mph gust, is it going to cause much less damage than an 85mph gust? Unlikely. Tomorrow could see some major disruption and whilst it may not be as strong and powerful as 1987, we now have a much larger population and I fear for life, I really do, especially when many interested in the weather aren’t taking it seriously enough.
  10. Seems to be a lot more shower activity in the east than predicted?
  11. Snow on and off here but very fine and not settling other than on some pallets across the road!
  12. It'll be the light snow just over Leicester on the radar. The strong east wind blowing it westwards.
  13. Euro4 and Aperge show streamers of snow showers from the east coast to mid Wales.
  14. Heavy sleet here. Unfortunately the flooding situation is dire once again.
  15. An utterly incredible evening here in Hereford. The best storm(s) I’ve ever witnessed.
  16. Suns been out for over an hour now here in Hereford. 26c but extremely humid.
  17. Just got caught in the downpour between Leominster and Worcester. Few rumbles of thunder and torrential rain. Definitely feels thundery with further downpours developing.
  18. 12z GFS reduces overall rainfall by a considerable amount. A welcome run for those recently flooded or am I looking at it wrong?
  19. A good few inches here and I’d say an hour or two of heavy snow to go. Could end up with 5-6 inches here which is good going.
  20. Incredible here. A good covering already although I’m not expecting *much* more. This will be our fourth really good event of this winter/spring. Impressive.
