  1. Snow is always a hit or miss weather type, it all depends on slight differation in air temperature and altitude. Or sometimes just a slight change in wind direction! So I don't think we can rule out snow anywhere just yet. Absolutely right, with the exception of tornado's snow is the most difficult sort of weather to forecast!
  2. Bugger oh well! The Countryside forecast for the week ahead is on soon, I guess that'll give us more of an idea of what's gonna happen!
  3. I think like mid-week that Central South/the Midlands/and possibly western side of Greater London might get a few more inches on Monday night, but anywhere nearer the east coast it's looking increasingly like rain or sleet!
  4. Last forecast I heard they said heavy snow possible Monday night into Tuesday morning with strong winds, is this still looking accurate?
  5. Local forecast said 60% chance of significant disruption to tommorow mornings rush hour because of the snow. Upto 2 inches in the city and 4 to 6 inches likely in the suburbs and out in the countryside!
  6. Weatherman on news has just said another 10-15cm for London, meaning a foot of lying snow by tonight. And half a metre of snow for The Pennines!
  7. Highway agency have warned this is the calm before the storm, another 10cm+ due
  8. Snow heavier here now, trust tryed to have the gasfire on but after a few minutes realised that it was leaking toxic gas when the room stank of it and I started to feel light headed!
  9. It's getting sleety atm, but BBC News at 1 have just warned that a big dollop is forecast for the rush hour almost as I type!
  10. For those who are old enougth to remember, is this what 1963 was like?
  11. My dad is comming home from work early on the advice that the worst snow if definately due for the rush hour!
  12. Temperature seems to be dropping abit here, either that or my heating is packing in! It's thickening up on the trees, but snow is currently light/sleety. But what happens between now and this evening god only knows!
  13. Snow is falling light here now, I think this is that lull they where talking about. Expecting it to start up again by 3pm.
