Feels like snow, looks like there might be something vaguely organised overnight for the region. Nice way to end winter I think, looks very spring like after that.

Same here, gone from rain mixed with snow to proper snow over the last half hour. Now where did that come from?

The flakes appear to be getting bigger! It's moving very slowly across the region now, probably not much left looking at the radar?

Yep snow here, proper snow too, finally. Just popped out to near Knutsford at 1am, it's a complete snow fest, driving is interesting.

Nothing here as usual, we've had about 10 minutes of snow and wet snow at that throughout the whole of last night and tonight. I can hear the tumbleweed outside.

I would have said don't count it however the sky has gone very dark here and it's actually started snowing!

Another non-event here, a few minutes proper snow barely a covering. Another terrible winter of hopeless non-events. I'm beginning to despise this region, it really is grim up north!

Just looking forward to a sustained period of coldish weather with a potential of snowfall at some point over several days. It's been a couple of winters since I've experienced that!

Seems to have been a bit of an upgrade IMBY from the met office. Light snow all night tomorrow night. I'll be a happy with a flake!

I think we can safely say that looking at the lack of ppn that it's not going to be heavy snow for most.

She was only on for a minute at the beginning, I think she's been sedated to cope with it.

Diane on the BBC doesn't think this will get as far north as Cumbria but for the rest of the region....Meto has me down for snow throughout the evening and night now.

Well, upgrade again for me, snow for tomorrow evening and wednesday morning on the meto and bbc, obviously that could change...

I seem to recall reading several articles in the media a couple of years ago stating that the BBC were going to try and represent weather forecasting more positively. I guess it's just a case of not calling it until it's nailed on for fear of getting it wrong?

Seems to be being revised with every run at the moment, just shows how difficult this is to forecast. It does seem to be looking likely for snow for our region on Tues/Weds now. The MOD thread is fun to follow, lots of swings from one extreme to the other.

Northwich has just had a very decent if brief ten minutes of proper snow, decent sized flakes as well. Just stopped in the last couple of minutes.

Any of this likely to reach Cheshire tonight? MetO suggest snow later even though it appears to be downgraded, not looking too promising for the south of the region tonight on the radar so far. Next week still looks promising.

A nice dusting of snow near Northwich, it was snowing moderately until a couple of minutes ago. Hooray. Might be a bit more to come? After last winter where I didn't see a single snowflake, it's turned out to be a bumper winter so far...relatively.
