That’s very similar to the European weather alert system. I find AccuWeather app is spot on. It’s postcode/geolocation based and they often put out the notification before it goes live on the metoffice website.

Storm Isha has been named and Wales will bear the brunt based on current predictions. Anyone got any recommendations on a decent weather station? I have a mobile alerts technoline base station. Over the years the wind and temp elements have failed. Do I just buy extra parts or go for something new?

Another freezing morning with existing laying snow and ice across much of the county. Big impacts on school closures across Pembrokeshire again today.

The radar suggests this… not sure if it’s actually happening! It’s been a bit like this winter - radar suggests precipitation, apps saying it’s snowing and nothing!

A light dusting here too, sticking on cars and grasses. A little unexpected as most of the precipitation went north.

We’ve gone from a warning of something to nothing here over most of the west now. For all the ramping of much colder conditions from Sunday, it’s become a much slower transition. The frosts fizzled out since last Thursday. Paths are drying now too. I’d take it over a return to wet and windy though!
