Not a cloud in the sky this far west, which is something of a surprise. Up to 32.8C since my last post, maybe we'll see the old record of 35.2C being broken again but the new record is probably out of reach....We'll see.

Peaked at 31.7 here about an hour ago. Think the record, set 3 miles from here will go tomorrow, hope it stays in Flintshire but other areas are in the hunt,

Not looking forward to this, wife has a hospital appointment 12 miles away and I have a visit to the Dentist both in the morning when this'll be at its peak. Not good.

I remember watching a BBC weather forecast in the early to mid 80's. Described by the forecaster as a rare blizzard, it was going to hit The Midlands down to The South coast. Overnight however the low took a last minute unexpected southern turn, leaving the mainland snowless but hitting The Channel Islands (and Northern France) with 4 foot drifts.

Temperature has dropped to 25 and it's getting more difficult to see any blue patches of sky. Humidity is off the scale really and we've had a couple of light showers. I've just done a medium wave crackle test and it was negative, there's hardly any breeze to speak of so I reckon that if it happens at all it's going to be a few hours away. We're also in something of a rain shadow here, the Clwydian Hills soak up much of it before it can get here.
