Generally I'm very interested in weatherphenomenons since I was a youngster. I love winters (which is rather difficult these days). I don't like hot temperatures in combination with a high humidity of the air. Allthough I enjoy late summer evenings. I do love all seasons as they 'should' be. I studied photography, I love to photograph clouds, landscapes, animals, nature in general. I'll try to post some pictures on a regular base. You may always check my photoblog which I started recently. I love to walk, cycle, Taï-Chi, beïng a volunteer at a wildlife resque park (the biggest in Western-Europe), read, learn, express my creativity, etc. I have a simple weatherstation, which is accurate. Builded my own, simple 'weather house' for my sensor. I have some local effects from the rural, natural landscape I live in (close to (200 metres) a nature park with ponds and sand dunes). It's a sandy environment. It means it can become quite hot on sunny days and cold during clear winter nights.

  1. Okay. After a grey, windy and wet start of the day, it (finally) became dry late afternoon. Some sunrays were viewable between the clouds. Total rainfall last 24 hours: 8 mm. Maximum temperature: 12.8°C, minimum temp.: 8.4°C. Wind is calm now, direction: SW. Right now it's 6.4°C, slowly dropping. And I'm going to drop myself into my bed B) . It's just past 23 hours now and here . Bye!
  2. Well. Here in Belgium it was also a very disappointing winter. In december we had a few colder days with a kind of small inversion winter. After two days we had a smog alarm :s. The coldest minimum temperature that I recorded during that period was minus 9.5 degrees Celcius. Afterwards we had a Southwest circulation for more then a month with lots of rain and windy days. In february it changed a bit. I've had sixteen nights of nightfrost, light to moderate. The lowest temperature in february was - 8.1°C. I didn't saw a single snowflake. Some people saw a sort of 'industrial snow' in december. That's it until now and personally I don't think we have to expect a late surprise. PS: If there are some errors in my text... I do my very best to write in fluent English, but hey, I'm only a Belgian .
  3. Hello. New here and currently figuring out how things work here :o . Currently it's raining lightly in the Eastern part of Belgium. Temperature is very mild: 11.2°C, minimum temperature untill now is 8.7°C. Greetings!
