  1. Thanks J10 for all your work once again this year, nice to see the forecast is so positive, the run up to the festival is just as important from a weather perspective as the festival itself, the really bad mud years have had a wet spell before and during the festival, looks like we should avoid that this year.
  2. My annual post just to say thank you for all your efforts, hopefully the rain won't be too heavy or persistant and at least it's falling onto a dry site. The really bad mud years had rain onto already sodden ground so it shouldn't be too much of a mudbath (well that's what i'm telling myself!). Thanks again J10/Jackone have a good week.
  3. Thanks for all your efforts once again Jackone, I can't believe we've got what amounts to a perfect forecast for Glasto! Dry, not too hot, bit of cloud to protect us from the sun and stop temps dropping too much at night, it's looking to be a cracker!
  4. Thanks for that Jackone, I can sleep a bit easier now!, really good of you to do this every year when you don't even go to the festival, we all appreciate it. I'm still fairly optimistic at the moment, the rain that has fallen on site so far still has time to dry away before gates open provided there isn't too much more before Wednesday, The video showing the wet ground yesterday was shot at the part of the festival that tends to get the muddiest (markets area) so other parts of the site will certainly be better. Still could turn out to be an acceptable to good festival weather wise.
  5. Well that's what I hoped but It would be good to have it corrected, that kind of talk gives me the jitters! Edit, just noticed he uses the words 'no mudbath' in the other thread, that's more like it!
  6. Do you mean very unlikely? The comment as it stands seems a bit pessimistic.
  7. I agree with Duggyfresh, unless there is a lot of rain in the run up, we should be o.k. I'd be tempted to take todays scenario if it was a guarantee, any rain on the Wednesday should have dried out by Friday and we would have the main 3 days totally dry. In 2005 after the massive thunderstorm and virtual flooding of the site on Friday morning it had dried up pretty well by Sunday and there have been improvements to the drainage since then.
  8. Thanks very much Jackone, your efforts are much appreciated, it's looking like it could possibly be my first totally dry one (on my 9th attempt!) though after 2005 the threat of thunderstorms is a worry!
