  1. Hi The North East has the symbol of a trough over it on the met office site, but the sky is blue and cloudless, and troughs are associated with low pressure. Can there be a cloudless sky in a low pressure area? Regards

  3. Hi If I lived at a higher altitude where the pressure is lower, would the weather be wetter ( as low pressure is synonymous with wet weather)? I am quite confused about the reasons for wet weather when there is low pressure. Regards
