Heavy thick snow in Wavertree, Liverpool. been on for 15 minutes now, grass starting to get a covering, here we go...:)

Its not about your high tech, multi functioning home forecasting models now. It's who's got the brightest, and nearest street light. Twitchers ready for a long night/numerous reprimands from the other half..."it's not going to snow!!"

Nice big flakes here in Liverpool. Getting darker too, the sun was out for the last 20 minutes of snow, but thats gone, and the sky is assuming that steel grey look..

Not quite Jan 25th, but a really good fall so far. Settling readily now and the road which was just slush/water about 2 hours ago, now starting to whiten. The downside I suppose is having to miss Milton Jones in Southport tonight, public transport warnings from Merseyrail. I guess I'll catch him again, some sunny day..

Something tells me that Liverpool is getting the best of this fall?! Very unlike Liverpool to lead the way in any field recently..(Says a loyal Tranmere fan)

Well, I'm in Wavertree, less than 3 miles away, and its been big fat flakes, sticking to the ground, for about 2 hours now. At least an inch of snow in the last hour, possibly more!

Snow now settling in Wavertree, S Liverpool. If the intensity remains as it has for last hour, could see decent accumulations. Happy days!

Continual heavy snow, big flakes, here in South Liverpool. Not much in the way of settlement though, I guess a fraction of a degree might make all the difference. The cars are just starting to whiten up again...The first real sign.

Blizzard-like conditions for last 30 minutes at least, snow coming in sideways. Wow!

Oh well, if nothing comes of it, we can all 'blame it on the weatherman' Doh!

Yup, intensifying in last 10 mins, and great sight for the old lampost watchers...

moderate snow here inn South Liverpool. About 1 inch so far, but if anything getting slightly heavier. Can see it staying around for most of the night. Possible 5-8 cm?
