Was at Beltra beach (Co.Mayo) @ bout 6pm, was fairly quiet, but suddenly the wind picked up,( probably funnelled down from Croagh Patrick) and thought my car was gonna be blown into the sea! very scary! had a real adrenaline rush!
Just had a nice surprise there, a thunderstorm developed right over me, heavy rain and thunder claps, wasn't extreme but by my standards it was brilliant!
Well that was a nice surprise!!!! A thunderstorm over Co.Mayo Ireland! slap bang on top of me! produced much needed heavy rain (the first rain after 15 days). This is by far already the best summer spell for me. I'm so happy!
That littlle low just entering the ukmo T144 chart from the left, would that be a spoiler or would it flatten out the Azores high even further? Any hope for ireland?
Hi Steve! I t looks to me like it's elongated across the pole from Canada to siberia? I agree with CC, there is a decrease in heights across the pole, but i've a feeling that it will be just a blip.

Cheers feb1991blizzard! so they were accurate with the pressure anomalies, but not so much with the temps. I hope we see a positive change in the next update.
I'm liking the trend for a southerly tracking jet, even if it does produce warm and wet weather it's the synoptic pattern that i'm interested in. I don't post here often, but i've gotta good feeling about this winters' weather patterns.
I know it's a long way out, but I can't believe i'm seeing charts like this again!!! Lets hope it's a trend.

Spray starting to lift off the lake in front of my house!! This usually only happens when I estimate winds to be over 80mph!! Really wild out there now!! Think I might venture out to experience it.
