  1. 12z would probably bring a below -1C month!
  2. Looks like a polar low forming off the west Norwegian coast (right at the top of the view) http://www.sat24.com/
  3. Here's a nice little bbc slideshow on them which was posted up today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-10635796
  4. I saw them too, first ever time i've seen them and I think it was a very good show as well. Here's one of the better pictures I just took (I think I need a tripod to be honest) The setting on my camera has made the sky look orange, when in fact it's actually a green sunset/horizon.
  5. Has anyone else seen the noctilucent cloud display over London tonight? it's absolutely stunning and the first time i've ever seen them. They are fading now, but were extremely clear about 10 minutes ago.
  6. That cold pool is insane, imagine if that shifted our way! Ashame it's the last one of FI...
  7. Still 0C outside so should be on the right side of marginal here unless there's an upper level warm pool?
  8. Next batch coming into London now!! Looks like my area could be in the firing line for some rather prolonged snow especially considering that the front extends all the way into France!
  9. Coming down decently in Hampton Court now, shouldn't be long before you get some more!
  10. Well the metoffice London 5 minute radar has gone down!!! Are there any other similar high resolution radars (for free)
  11. It looks as though areas to the west of central London should get the decent heavier stuff within an hour after which the front will begin to stall.
  12. I hope so! How much do you reckon we could expect (I am around Hampton Court near Kingston)
  13. I'm still not convinced that my location (on the edge of south west London) is going to get much out of it. Looked at the London 5 minute radar, and my location is under the lightest precipitation category which is all broken up in itself and the front is moving NE to NNE which will just result in me remaining under that very broken very light snowfall!! Can anyone convince me that I am going to get anything decent from this?
