    One thing I am very curious about. All those that can't get enough snow and love the snow so much why aren't they actually out in it ? it is all the well saying "can never get enough snow "I want cold weather <_< " but people are saying that from their warm central heated living rooms and offices instead of being outside playing in the snow they crave

    The ones that are saying there can never be enough snow are probably by and large school children or university students who enjoy the closures and not going to lectures but it is less fun for those of us that have to drive in it, those of us who have to work in it, those of us who have to stand on a frozen platform at 7am HOPING a train will turn up While you youngsters must love all the snow those of us who's living depends on being able to travel to meetings get tired of it all after a while

    I love snow when it first falls, am like a kid on christmas day even though am well into my adult years but after a while it starts to get annoying when it starts to impact on life, trying to get cars in and out of the drive, trying to avoid falling over every 10ft, trying to get to a meeting with trains likely cancelled, I love a day of deep snow so can take pretty pics then hope it all melts so life can get back to normal

    An hour ago it was 14in mate Are you telling me you got 4.5in of snow in an hour ? hmmmmmmmmm

    Work have given me the week off but I might travel up to the NE anyway and watch the event as that is very much the prime area Down here in the South am not expecting more than 2 or 3cm

    I think the big winners in this will be Newcastle - Durham - Cumbria Can see those areas getting maybe 40-50cm of snow this week Other big winners Yorkshire 20-30cm - Buxton area 30-40cm This looks to me though very much a NE England event
