  1. The AI is lovely if you hate heatwaves
  2. I'd more trust the GEM than the GFS which doesn't build the ridge
  3. Djdazzle Ok mate - Got to get some work done, so ain't got time to compare.
  4. Djdazzle They all look flatter to me
  5. Djdazzle I can only see the GFS with the ridge over us next week? What are you seeing?
  6. terrier Thank god the models have lost the ridging this morning (so far)
  7. @FloatylightThe texas rainfall intensity was forecasted wrong as well - Scientist has been worried about Elon's Starlink project interfering with weather data? MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  8. Alderc 2.0 Why are you worried about next week? Aren't you enjoying the weather now with your location?
  9. northwestsnow Just noticed you live in Oldham, no wonder you moan so much. We don't have that problem down here even during the crap weather it still feels warm. I don't need heatwaves to enjoy summers - it's the opposite in winter we get rain when you guys are getting snow regularly.
  10. As long as we get a bit of rain every now and then and it doesn't get too cool, I'm happy the models are showing signs of keeping the heatwaves well south of the med.
  11. Sky Full I think we're focused too much on CO2. Might be that the governments want to keep our air (locally) free from the other pollutants that are released when petrol and diesel are burnt ( carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen and oxides of sulfur) or not burnt ( incomplete combustion) which then release unburnt hydrocarbons and carbon particulates? But we'd still be breathing in tyre dust and brake dust which is supposed to be even worse for our health , and it would get worse with the electric cars being heavier : https://www.cieh.org/ehn/environmental-protection/2022/june/the-threat-to-public-health-from-tyre-pollution-could-become-major-issue-for-regulators/
  12. Scientists are raising concerns that SpaceX’s Starlink satellites may be interfering with critical weather data, potentially reducing the accuracy of storm predictions and climate models. Some experts warn that Starlink’s radio frequencies and signals could disrupt satellite-based weather monitoring, while others argue the impact is minimal. Could this tech revolution be putting weather forecasting at risk? MSN WWW.MSN.COM
