Morning all, I personally am not expecting any snow here in Bridgend except rain, maybe a bit of wet snow mixed in but not amounting to even a dusting as it would have rained so much before hand. Never expected a snowy end to the cold spell we have had. If it does snow then bonus but not expecting it to. Due to past experiences when we are in the midst of change it rains.

We will see what happens, there is a similarity forecast on accuweather, metcheck and here with BBC showing zilch. I am hoping they are wrong and the other 3 are right.

No idea, I am a complete numpty when it comes to the charts etc, just love the snow and this is the place to be. So many knowledgeable people about and rely on them to fill in the gaps :-) According to some sites its forecasting from 9am but no idea, always take with a pinch of salt times from forecasts. I am off this week, so would be great to have some decent snow.

Yep I hope so, be good to see some decent snow for a change. The setup is good if the precipitation heads our way. Waiting game now to see what happens.

Morning, I think we could see some great snow today and into tomorrow. Well I hope so anyway. Going by accuweather, metcheck its looking good. BBC, apparently we are going to get drizzle. So all to play for and hope we get lucky today. Good luck matey

Happy New Year to all, hope everyone will have a great year ahead. Well looks like its going to be cold, but will lack of preciption no chance of any snowfall. It always seems the same, we get a prolonged freeze but with it no preciption. Then when it does come its always marginal and in more cases than not it rains. Sunday through to Monday has now been downgraded and no snow as predicted earlier in the week.

Same here, due to the heavy sleet the ground is so water logged couldnt see if it did turn to snow it would stick anyways. I agree Bridgend seems to be in a snowless bubble. Plently of winter left yet so not giving up hope. BBC were right, heavy rain.

Yep agree I don't think its set in stone for us, only if we were a little further north. But hey you never know, lets be positive and lets get some great snow. What time is it due, do you know? Well hopefully we all around this area will have a nice heavy fall.... Be good.

Hello all, good luck to all in Wales for the upcoming event. Hope we all get to see some great snowfall. Conflicting forecast for here in Bridgend, some sites showing rain, others sleet, others snow. Will be lampost watching as usual just hope its worth it. Many times have done this to be disappointed. Fingers crossed.

Well that was a complete non event, oh well still we have months for some white stuff to hit us. Doubt we will see anything from this so called cold spell.

Nice to hear a few places have some snow already. I am hoping Bridgend will recieve some snow this weekend. Looking at the forecasts I am sceptical, but be nice to see.

Non event for Bridgend in South Wales, nothing but some rain. Glad I didnt stay up for this one. Glad some people managed to get some snow out of this.

Good idea I will join in and abuse the lamp post for not showing me snow, will threaten to blow it up if it doesnt happen soon. Heard cardiff is now snowing, not to far away but far away enough

Trying to turn to snow in Bridgend, the odd flake with heavy rainy sleet.

I can see this being a non event for many, just boring sleety rain. Not staying up for this one unless it hammers down with snow which I highly doubt.

Been raining all bloody day here in Bridgend, looking a bit of sleet now, or more icy rain. What are the chances of getting a covering with the ground being saturated with all this rain? Given that it does snow that is.

Sleety rain here in Bridgend with the odd flake of snow. Meto have a weather warning for us tomorrow and think they dont really know whats going to happen as I have a warning for Monday with Heavy Rain and conflicting another warning for Drifting and Heavy Snow for the same time period. The same warning is for Tuesday again Heavy Rain and at the same time Drifting and Heavy Snow. I think they are playing it safe with a 50/50 bet, at least one of them will be right. What do you guys think of the prospects of Snow for South Wales tomorrow? Cheers

Glad to see South West had a hammering of snow. Here in Bridgend South Wales we did not get lucky enough yesterday through to today. What are the chances of South Wales having any more snow over the next few days into Monday? Or is it game over for this period? Thanks
