    welcome aboard... It was dreadful in Melton this morning at 0630 my misses skided off the road at Waltham then into the path of an on coming car before giving up on the A607 and coming back home. We both caught the train to work this morning. I am off to Cardiff and it's snowed all the way from Hinckley. I am now sat at Bristol Parkway waiting for my connection and light snow is still coming down..

    Sleet with Melton Mowbray with some 'some' snow flakes in the wind..

    God I hope so despite Saturday's mini dumping in the morning Melton snow has been pretty poor... I up on the Grange Drive estate near the mobile mast protest, bet their caravan is cold tonight.

    The chap at Looger-baroogah station this morning said it never snows there!! a couple of cm when I got off the train tonight, a bit dodgy round the bends on the road between Shoby and Asfordby.

    Just got home from Derby to (Melton Mowbray) left at 1800. Train to Loughborough then a drive from Loughborough to Melton Mowbray, moderate snow most of the way home and the road between Loughborough to Melton was white over. The snow is still coming down with approx 3 cm.

    Light snow in Derby now and a nice and grey sky above.. Hopefully its time for Derby, Leicestershire.....

    I drove to Loughborough station for my train to Derby, it's a gamble as the road between Loughborough and Melton gets it bad if it falls!

    A dusting of snow in Melton Mowbray this morning at 0630, no in Derby at work and the sun is out but there's a mass of cloud to the north.

    Quite a bit of a thaw in Melton Mowbray today. Main roads and pavements generally clear. Been on the train to Oxford today for a meeting now that was good; plenty of heavy snowfall and the train was on time....
